I had the pleasure of chatting with Alan Houser last week for his CreativeXpert podcast series. It’s a brief interview, but we manage to cram in some discussion about design and a few fun stories from my past. Reading and Drinking

If you will be in or around New York on Monday, July 28th, I suggest swinging by The Delancey at 7pm. Coudal Partners is holding a special Field-Tested Books event with some of the local testers reading their reviews live. Testers include: Michael Bierut, Randy Cohen, Steven Heller, Jason Santa Maria (hey, I know him!), Jeffrey Zeldman, Ben Greenman, John Gruber, Jim and Steve from CP, and many more.

  Hey Jason, Very nice interview you got there man. I totally understand what you went trough when you were in college and looked at your buddy’s work. In fact, I experience that to this date. I look at everybody’s work out there(including yours) and just I wish I could do at least 1% of what you do. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to go to college here in USA which it makes me work and learn even harder but sometimes I just feel I can’t do it. Although, I feel that way, something keeps telling me to continue on. Anyways, like I told you in person at the Event Apart Boston, I’m a fan of yours. Thanks for your work, and for the person you’ve been to all of us out there that read your blog. Very nice work! I wish I could do half of what you can do. I don’t know if you believe in God but you’re a blessed man.

  RE: Delancey Event… that place is small especially if the rooftop isn’t open, but newhos, it’s a nice place to have a drink or two. I’ll definitely have to check this one out.

  Great talk over at CreativeXpert podcast series. Thanks, for pointing them out to me. I have now listened all the talks and will try and keep up with the newer ones.

  Wishing I could make the Field-Tested Books Event in NYC, but I can’t with having to be at work in DC both Monday and Tuesday. I guess I will just have to read along at home.
